  • Meet the new Barefoot Lite

    Meet the new Barefoot Lite

A lighter, gas-free Barefoot has joined the family — meet the 2026 Barefoot Lite.

Cathy Chamberlain and the team at Barefoot Caravans UK have added two new models to the lineup for 2026: the Bothy, and now the Lite — a stripped-down, gas-free version of the original Barefoot Caravan for owners who want the same retro look and fibreglass build at a more accessible price.

    What’s different on the Lite

The Lite is built around the same one-piece moulded fibreglass shell as the original Barefoot, with the same 10-year body shell guarantee. It keeps the things owners love most:

    • The full retro-styled bathroom and wardrobe
    • The U-shaped dinette that converts to a double bed
    • Storage under every section of seating, plus overhead
    • LED lighting, ceiling fan, and yes — the much-loved cocktail cabinet
    • The same wide range of exterior colours and interior fabrics

What it leaves out is the gas — no gas cooktop, no gas heating. The kitchen block keeps a full sink with cover, oak or white acrylic counter, prep space, and under-counter storage for a portable induction burner or coolbox if you want one. It’s designed with touring in mind, and for owners who’d rather not pay for kitchen kit they won’t use.

    Sizing

The Lite weighs in at 1,000 kg empty and is built on the same compact 5 m x 1.9 m footprint.

Autoevolution covered the launch in a feature titled “Barefoot Lite — The Most Beautiful Caravan on the Planet — Goes All Electric.” Worth a read for the full breakdown.

    Coming to Australia?

The Lite isn’t currently part of our Australian Barefoot Caravan Stock but if it’s the sort of Model you’d want, let us know.

  • Barefoot Caravans Goes to Burleigh

    Barefoot Caravans Goes to Burleigh

We took the Barefoot Caravans down to Burleigh Caravan Park for the weekend. A last-minute party invite in Byron Bay meant we needed somewhere to stay, and the caravan sorted that out in about ten minutes.

That’s the thing with a Barefoot Caravan. It’s always ready. No planning, no packing drama. Hitch up and go. We were set up at Burleigh Beach before lunch and had a base for the whole weekend.

The Gold Coast has caravan parks everywhere worth exploring, from Burleigh Heads down to Byron Bay. If you want to know more about the Barefoot Caravans, get in touch.
